COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University women’s golf team sent three student-athletes to compete in the Central District Invitational this week in Parrish, Fla. The Buckeyes concluded the two-day, 54-hole tournament Tuesday with the final 18 holes at River Wilderness Golf Club. Two Buckeyes placed in the Top 10 and had career-best finishes.

Sophomore Gemma Webster (Glasgow, Scotland/Dundee University) led the Ohio State individuals while recording her best finish as a Buckeye. Webster shot a 216 (73-74-69) on the par-72 course and finished the tournament tied for third. Webster also recorded her lowest round as a Buckeye during the last 18 holes shooting a 69, three strokes under par. Close behind Webster was OSU freshman Emma Jandel (Oakwood, Ohio/Oakwood). She recorded her best finish and career low-round score. She tied for sixth after shooting a 222 (76-74-72).

Ashley Knoll of Texas A&M University claimed medalist honors shooting a 209 (67-73-69), seven strokes under par.

The Buckeyes will be back in action March 3-5 in Orlando, Fla., where they will compete in the UCF Challenge.
