COLUMBUS, Ohio– Incoming Buckeyes Noelle St. John and Monica Velazquez-Stiak and rising sophomore Elizabeth Davidson has successful outings at the 2014 U.S. Open Championships this past weekend in Henderson, Nevada.

Davidson, who wrapped up her freshman season with the Buckeyes in 2014, was crowned the senior solo champion at the event. Davidson earned a 160.1234, .5614 points ahead of silver medalist Rebecca Moody, also of the United States.

Earning All-America honors in just her first season as a Buckeye, Davidson helped lead the Scarlet and Gray to the 2014 U.S. Senior National Championship title as a member of the Buckeye Scarlet Team. The group scored an 85.000 for first place. At the U.S. Collegiate championships, Davidson and the Buckeyes were runners-up with Davidson earning silver medals in the trio routine, alongside Lorraine Hack and Yuliya Maryanko, and the team routine.

St. John and Velazquez-Stiak are members of the U.S. Junior National Team and won a gold medal in the team routine event. Additionally, Velazquez-Stiak captured her second gold medal of the U.S. Open with her first-place finish in Junior Figures.
