COLUMBUS, Ohio – Buckeye wrestlers T.J. Enright, J Jaggers and Kirk Nail earned Top 20 preseason rankings in amateur wrestling publications W.I.N. Magazine, and

Enright (So., Galloway, Ohio/Westland), who jumped from the 133 to 141 weight class, is 16th in both the and W.I.N. Magazine polls. Jaggers (Fr., Bedford, Ohio/St. Peter Chanel) holds down the 19th spot at 149 in W.I.N. Magazine and Nail (So., Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) is 15th at heavyweight in W.I.N. Magazine and Nail is 19th in the standings and also cracked the Top 20 in the USA Today/National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll at No. 20. The USA Today/NWCA rankings are the offical collegiate polls, voted on by a group of coaches representing each wrestling conference.

In 2005, Enright qualified for the NCAA championships and placed sixth at the Big Ten championships. Enright was ranked in the Top 20 throughout the season, including a standing as high as 11th. The Galloway, Ohio, native recorded a mark of 31-13 on the year, which was second on the team.

Last season, Jaggers saw action in eight matches for the Buckeyes as a reserve.

Nail also qualified for the 2005 NCAA championships after finishing eighth at the Big Ten championships. Nail challenged several of the nation’s Top HWT’s during the year, as 14 of his 17 losses came against ranked opponents and 10 were vs. Top 10 challengers.

Ohio State will kick off its 2005-06 campaign at the Michigan State Open Nov. 12-13 in East Lansing, Mich. The Buckeyes’ first home meet is vs. Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at St. John Arena.
