%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – Linda Kalafatis, head coach of the No. 20 Ohio State softball team, announced Wednesday the start times of the final two home games of the 2002 season at Buckeye Field have been changed. Originally slated for 6 p.m. starts, all three schools scheduled to compete have agreed to push the game time ahead one hour to 5 p.m. to insure the entire game will be played.%^$

%^$eThe reason for the time change is that Buckeye Field does not have lights, Kalafatis said. eIf it is an overcast day, darkness could settle in quicker and we wanted to make sure that there would be enough light in case of a late start or for extra innings.%^$

%^$The Buckeyes will face the Ohio Bobcats at 5 p.m. Friday and then take on the Akron Zips next Thursday, May 2, in the final home game of the regular season for the team and the last game at Buckeye Field for seniors Jenn Elwell (Sr., Dearborn Heights, Mich./Divine Child), Chrissy Fowler (Sr., Utica, Ohio/Wright State), Stacy Roth (Sr., Wauseon, Ohio/Wauseon), Anna Smith (Sr., Walnut, Calif./Diamond Bar) and Sarah West (Sr., Galloway, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson).
