COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Men’s Varsity O Alumni Association and the Women’s Varsity O Alumnae Society will host their annual dinner and induction ceremonies Sept.24 in the Ohio Union to honor the 2010 Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame class. The nine inductees will then be introduced to the public at halftime of the Ohio State home football game against Eastern Michigan Sept. 25 in Ohio Stadium.
Members of the Hall of Fame class of 2010 expected at the men’s dinner are Àngel Aja (volleyball), Mark Balen (golf), Jamie Natalie (gymnastics), Fred Norton (baseball, basketball, football and track), Fred “Curly” Morrison (football) and David Camaione (wrestling). A reception begins at 5:30 p.m., with dinner and the ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Archie M. Griffin West Ballroom ($75/person).
Inductees expected at the women’s dinner are Regina Oliver (lacrosse), Shandelier Boyd Pleasant (track & field) and Stacey Gordon (volleyball). The reception begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the ceremony starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall on the first floor of The Ohio Union ($50/person).
At both dinners there will be a meet and greet with student-athletes from sports represented by the induction class. Guests will have an opportunity to meet Ohio State Athletics Hall of Fame inductees and current student-athletes.
