Ticket Advisory: Counterfeit Tickets

Nov. 21, 2016

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State Department of Athletics has seen a significant increase in counterfeit tickets in the print-at-home format purchased from non-authorized sources for home football games this season. Because of this, and because of the enormous interest in the game Saturday between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Michigan, the Department of Athletics encourages fans purchasing tickets to ONLY purchase through Ohio State authorized sources.

Fans purchasing tickets from unauthorized sources (including StubHub, Vivid Seats, CraigsList, EBay, and ticket brokers) assume the risk that tickets purchased are counterfeit or the barcodes have been invalidated. Any fan attempting to enter Ohio Stadium with counterfeit or invalid barcodes will be denied entry.

Ticket holders wishing to transfer or sell their valid Ohio State tickets have many options available through their online ticket accounts. Details on mobile entry, ticket forwarding, and ticket resale options can be found here.
