COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three standouts from the United States Hockey League have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Ohio State men’s hockey team beginning in Fall 2016, Steve Rohlik, Ohio State head coach, announced. The trio of forwards includes Ronnie Hein (Chelsea, Mich./Waterloo Black Hawks), Tanner Laczynski (Shorewood, Ill./Chicago Steel) and Sam McCormick (De Pere, Wis./Madison Capitols).

In second season with Waterloo Black Hawks in the USHL and had 19 points, with four goals and 15 assists, through first 22 games … team captain for the Black Hawks … began 2014-15 with the Aberdeen Wings in the NAHL, scoring 17 points on eight goals and nine assists in 33 games, before moving to the USHL Black Hawks; saw action in 33 games and had 21 points, with 11 goals and 10 assists … played two NAHL games with the Corpus Christi IceRays in 2013-14 … member of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) Lansing Capitals before joining the Aberdeen Wings, posting 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 23 games with the Capitals.
