COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Buckeyes were named to 2022 All-Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Team Thursday after a vote of league coaches.
Sophomore Jacob Pasteur was selected to the All-MIVA First Team while junior Samuel Clark and senior Martin Lallemand were named to the All-MIVA Second Team.
Pasteur played in all 99 sets to date this season with a team-high 394 kills. He is second in aces with 34 and total blocks with 57.
Clark is second with 354 kills and 165 digs on the year while leading the Buckeyes in aces with 35.
Lallemand was a 2020 All-MIVA First Team selection in 2020 and a second teamer in 2021. Despite missing a portion of the 2022 season with injury, he moved into the Ohio State Top 20 list for career kills (808) with 217 this season. He also contributed 15 aces, 89 digs and 19 blocks.
Ohio State finished the regular season with a 13-13 overall record and a 7-7 mark in MIVA competition. The Buckeyes open the MIVA Tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lewis. The Buckeyes enter as the No. 5 seed in Romeoville, Ill., against the No. 4 Flyers.
