PEORIA, Ariz. – Three Buckeyes finished under par in their final round as the Ohio State women’s golf team placed eighth at the Westbrook Invitational Monday afternoon at Westbrook Village Golf Club. The final-round 285 team score was the Buckeyes’ second-lowest final-round score of the season and third-lowest team score in any round this year.
Sophomore Aneka Seumanutafa carded a final-round 1-under-par 71 to tie for ninth at 7-under for the tournament while fellow sophomore Lauren Peter tied her career-best 70 to tie for 26th at 1-under. Senior Adeena Shears notched a bogey-free 2-under 70 in the final round and bounced back from a difficult opening round to tie for 50th at 3-over while sophomore Skylar Thompson and junior Yukie Sasaki rounded out the Ohio State lineup tied for 63rd at 6-over.

For the tournament, Ohio State ranked fifth in par-4 scoring at 3-under while tallying 47 birdies, also the fifth-best in the field. Seumanutafa tied for third-best in par-5 scoring at 5-under while carding 16 birdies, tied for fourth in the field.
