Columbus, Ohio – A trio of Buckeye freshman represented the Scarlet and Gray last weekend at the 2014 USA Track and Field Junior World Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
LaMar Bruton, from New Castle, Del., finished second in the 400-meter dash with a blazing time of 46.11, qualifying him for the 4×400 meter USA relay team. His time narrowly missed his PR time of 46.02.
Classmates Dylan Dyke from Waverly, Ohio and Aaron Zedella from Cleveland also competed in the hammer throw and shot put, respectfully. Dyke placed 20th with PR toss of 52.77 meters (173-01) and Zedella placed sixth with a PR of 18.18 meters (59-07.75).
The 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships will take place in Eugene July 22-27 at Hayward Field.
