The long-awaited matchup between No. 9 Michigan State and No. 3 Ohio State has arrived in The Shoe. The anticipation has climaxed with ESPN’s College GameDay on The Oval set to kick off this Senior Day celebration!

The Stakes
B1G Eastern Division title implications are on the table as Ohio State, 6-0 in conference play, welcomes Michigan State, 5-1 in the league, Saturday. Both teams have one game remaining after their meeting in The Shoe.

ESPN’s GameDay Says Hello to The Oval
For the first time, the premier college football pregame television show brings its extravaganza to the heart of campus — The Oval. Making its 15th overall visit to Ohio State, CGD kicks off bright and early at 9 a.m., with the crowd arriving hours ahead of lights, camera, action. Mascot-head mania strikes just before noon.

NOTE: Camping is not permitted on The Oval.

The Seniors
Prior to kickoff Saturday, Ohio State will recognize its 18 seniors. The group, which touts an overall record of 48-3 and separate win streaks of 24 and the current 23 games, includes DE Chris Fong, K Jack Willoughby, CB Armani Reeves, RB Jeffie Johnson, WR Jeff Greene, WR Kato Mitchell, RB Warren Ball, LS Bryce Haynes, LB Cam Williams, DT Tommy Schutt, TE Nick Vannett, OT Chase Farris, DT Joel Hale, DT Adolphus Washington, OC Jacoby Boren, OT Taylor Decker, LB Joshua Perry and H-Back Braxton Miller.

The decorated class, which owns a national and B1G championship as well as three conference division titles, also seeks to add to its 30-game league win streak Saturday.

Time to Clap
Early on in the first quarter, be ready to cheer for an accomplished “Adopted Buckeye” who will be spending a special day with us in The Shoe. Later in the first half, we’ll be set to give a championship shout-out to Buckeye freshman tennis player Francesca Di Lorenzo, who claimed the ITA Indoor title last week.

Several other surprises surround recognitions for the senior cheer and spirit squad and the Pay Forward Society, including one that will be sure to bring you to your feet for a salute in the second quarter.

Smile! You’re on a billion pixels!
Speaking of standing up, be sure to smile when you do during the first timeout of the second quarter. If you’re in the bowl Saturday at that time, you’ll be part of a Gigapixel photo — or giant panoramic image — set to be released next week where you can zoom in and tag yourself, even if you’re in the top row of D Deck! It’s guaranteed to be cool.

Light Up #TheShoe
As the Buckeyes head down the ramp and look to seal off the Spartans in the second half, be sure to grab your mobile phone and light up the stadium. Turn on your flashlight to welcome the Buckeyes back on to the field.

Trophy Time
Be on the lookout for both the College Football Playoff and the AFCA national championship trophies Saturday. FanFest is your best bet to catch a glimpse or even a photo with the hardware.
