Sept. 1, 2016
With just six starters returning from the 2015 Fiesta Bowl Champion Ohio State football team, there are plenty of question marks as the preseason prep winds down and kickoff in The `Shoe rapidly approaches.
Regardless of the uncertainty that may be surrounding what expects to be another exciting season for the Buckeyes, one can be assured there will be plenty of sights and sounds worthy of note set to take place inside Ohio Stadium in 2016.
Each week, this page will prep you – the fan – for features and fun set for fall Saturdays in Columbus.

The youngest U.S. Olympic wrestler to win a gold medal. The first current Ohio State student-athlete to claim gold since basketball star Jerry Lucas in 1960. Buckeye junior Kyle Snyder is coming off a whirlwind few weeks and we’re looking to cap it off with an applause of a 100,000-plus! The 2015 World Titleholder and the 2016 Big Ten, NCAA and now Olympic champion will be recognized in the first quarter Saturday on the field. Once again, congrats Kyle!
Script x 4
It happens every year, but the combination of colors and the unified sound of 225 Ohio State marching band members with its more than 600 participating alumni is something that just can’t be beat. Get into The `Shoe plenty early to catch the sea of black, scarlet and gray engulf the field Saturday.
Plan your Pregame
Be sure to catch the performance before the performance as TBDBITL heats up historic St. John Arena, starting at 10 a.m.
Coach Meyer and the Buckeyes will swing through and address the crowd to kick off festivities shortly after 10 a.m., so be sure to arrive early.
FanFest – on the south lawn of St. John – opens this week at 9 a.m. and offers many fun family-friendly activities and entertainment.
Bring the Sunscreen
Forecast for Saturday = AWESOME! The experts are calling for low-to-mid 80s and plenty of sunshine for fans to bask away their football Saturday.
NOTE: Sunscreen – along with other items – now will be available for purchase at new vending locations throughout the stadium.
