The Show in The Shoe: THE GAME

Simply put: get ready for a Saturday extravaganza set within the greatest rivalry in sports — Ohio State vs. ❌ichigan.

Be The Best Fans                         The Game: Ticket Advisory

Get Up (EARLY) for GameDay
The ESPN College GameDay crew is ready to set the scene Saturday morning … first thing Saturday morning with an extended show from 7 a.m. — noon. The weekly pregame prep program will host the first portion of the show outside the Ohio State RPAC recreation facility southeast of Ohio Stadium. As we reach into the 10 a.m. hour, the cast will be in motion taking to a second stage in the southwest corner in The Shoe. So be sure to get to the RPAC early and/or head into the stadium when gates open at 10 a.m. There will be plenty of surprises on set, including of course the celebrity picker for the week. Stay tuned…

Ramp up for TBDBITL Ramp Entrance
If witty signs and mascot headgear are not your cup of tea, then Skull Session is standing by to ramp up your pregame festivities. St. John Arena doors will open at 8 a.m. and the show gets rolling around 9:40 a.m. with Coach Meyer and the Buckeyes addressing the audience shortly thereafter. Don’t forget to hit up Fan Fest on the south lawn of St. John too.

Tunnel of Pride
Always a spectacle, the tunnel of pride tradition lives on Saturday as hundreds of Buckeye football alumni will pour onto the field to honor 2016 senior class as it is introduced one-by-one to the Ohio Stadium crowd. Be sure to keep your head on a swivel too, because Coach Corso could be donning a certain mascot head at the same time on the Game Day set … we’ll see.

Salute to “The Game of the Century”
It was No. 1 vs. No. 2 and it most certainly lived up to its hype. On Nov. 18, 2006, the Buckeyes and Wolverines locked horns in a 60-minute slugfest that saw Ohio State outlast That Team Up North by a 42-39 margin. Eventual Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith passed for four touchdowns as the Buckeyes completed a 12-0 regular season and won the Big Ten. Saturday during the first quarter, be ready to get on your feet for a standing “O” for the ’06 Bucks as the team will be recognized at a TV timeout.

Pass the Syrup, Please
This past August a Buckeye legend was immortalized into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Orlando Pace, an All-American tackle known for his devastating “Pancake” blocks for the Buckeyes from 1994-96, will be honored for his enshrinement into Canton during the middle of the first and second quarter breaks. The Outland Trophy and two-time Lombardi Award winner was a seven-time Pro Bowler for the St. Louis Rams from 1997-2008 before finishing his career with the Chicago Bears in 2009.

One More Thing to Look For
Again during the first and second quarter break, keep your eyes on the south stands for a big, big display of Buckeye Pride from the student section, led by Block O.

Special Combo with That Band Up North at Halftime
Scurry quickly to the concession stand at intermission as you will not want to miss a special collaboration between The Best Damn Band in the Land and That Band Up North, performing America the Beautiful.
