The 2000 Ohio State men’s volleyball team has been selected to compete in the ‘Best of the Buckeyes’ Bracket. The ’00 squad made a run to the NCAA championship match after sweeping the MIVA regular season and tournament titles.
With a 25-4 record (.862), the 2000 Buckeyes are seeded 6th and will square off against the 7th-seeded 2011 Buckeyes on May 1 in the ‘Play-In Match’ (see bracket below).
🏆 TROPHY CHASING
The 2000 Buckeyes carried a pair of MIVA trophies, both the regular season and tournament titles, into the NCAA postseason. Ohio State sprinted past Pepperdine in three sets to reach the national finals and finish as the NCAA runner-up. Aja Angel was spectacular in both matches and was named the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. Chris Fash and Colin McMillan joined him on the NCAA All-Tournament Team.
