COLUMBUS, OhioInside Lacrosse has announced its 2020 preseason All-America teams and two Ohio State Buckeyes – Ryan Terefenko and Justin Inacio – appear on the lists. Terefenko is a first-team choice at short stick defensive midfield while Inacio is an honorable mention selection at face-off.

Terefenko and Inacio are two of 14 players from Big Ten schools who earned preseason All-American honors, the second most of any conference.

A senior captain from Wilson, Pa., Terefenko is coming off a junior season in which he was a second team All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). He had 36 ground balls, four goals, four assists and two caused turnovers. He’s also played in 27 consecutive games dating back to the start of the 2018 season. He’s a sport industry major.

Inacio earned Big Ten co-Specialist of the Years honors last season after he led the Big Ten in face-off win percentage (.637), ground balls (120) and ground balls per game (10.00). A junior and honorable mention USILA All-American in 2019, Inacio has won 311 of 496 career face-offs. He’s a junior majoring in biology.

Inacio, Terefenko and the rest of the Buckeyes are 14 days out from their regular season opener on Feb. 4 at home versus Detroit Mercy. The Buckeyes are ranked No. 9 in the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook preseason poll and No. 13 by U.S. Lacrosse. Season tickets and single game tickets are each on sale and can be purchased by CLICKING HERE or by calling the Athletic Ticket Sales Office at 1-800-GOBUCKS (select option 2, then option 8).
