The Ohio State University Synchronized Swimming Team is pleased to announce our Spring Clinics and Summer Camp.

Spring Clinics
Synchronized swimming is the ideal sport for those who enjoy dance, gymnastics, swimming and being creative / artistic. Come spend a couple hours learning the basic skills and components of this exciting sport. The clinic instructors are all former world class synchronized swimmers and coaches.

Summer Camp
This 6 day camp will build upon the skills learned during the clinics and will include training in the areas of flexibility, basic synchro skills, composing routines to music, and swimming a routine for the parents to enjoy. Each day the campers will learn new skills in addition to building their routine for their exhibition swim at the conclusion of the camp. A snack will be served daily for the campers.

The Ohio State synchronized swimming team recently won the 2010 U. S. Collegiate Synchronized Swimming Championship. This was the 26th time that the team has won this Championship. Lead by Head Coach Linda Lichter-Witter, the Buckeyes have been a dominant force in collegiate synchronized swimming for over 25 years. During this time, Lichter-Witter has coached 107 Collegiate All-Americans, as well as 120 at-large Academic All-Big Ten synchronized swimmers.

Anne Marie Lichter, Assistant Coach of the US National synchronized swim team will provide instruction to the campers.

Also, Student-athletes from the 2010 National Championship Ohio State synchronized swimming team will serve as instructors and counselors at this camp.

All clinic and camp sessions will be held in the world-class McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion at The Ohio State University. Considered one of the finest competition pools in the nation, the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion provides an excellent venue for instruction.

The clinics and camps are open to any and all campers that are ages 6-14 (must meet eligibility requirements by the start of the respective session). The clinics are free.  Campers who register and pay the camp fee may bring along a friend at no extra cost. This offer is only open to campers who have not yet started high school.  

The fee for the summer camp is $150.

A parent consent form is REQUIRED for all participants. Please visit to obtain the form. Please complete, sign and send the form with your child to check-in – do not send the form to us prior to the camp. Swimmers will not be permitted to participate without this form.

Upon processing of each registration, an initial confirmation notice will be sent by email. A follow-up confirmation notice will also be mailed to campers. “Important Information for Registered Campers” (including a Parent Consent Form) will also be posted on the Buckeye Sports Camps webpage at Each camp participant should review this document prior to coming to campus.

REFUNDS (Summer Camp)
A full refund less a $75 administrative fee will be issued for any camp cancellation received at least 2 days prior to the start of the camp session. Any cancellations received less than 2 days prior to the start of camp session will generally not be eligible for a refund. Cancellation notices and refund requests must be submitted on the Refund Request Form (available at no later than August 31, 2010. The registration fee cannot be transferred to any other Ohio State sports camp or camper.
