COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State men’s swimming and diving team is ranked 13th nationally in the final National Swimming Coaches Association of America dual meet poll. Arizona won the dual meet season championship with an 8-0 record.
“We are very pleased with our final ranking and standing,” Bill Wadley, men’s swimming coach said. “We had more dual meet wins than every team but one in the Top 25 and I think that is indicative of the kind of quality student-athletes that we have in our program.”
The Buckeyes finished the season with a 10-1 record. Only Missouri’s 11-2 mark topped Ohio State’s win total, but Missouri finished 21st in the final poll. Michigan and Florida also had 10 wins this season.
After Arizona, the top five teams were Texas, Stanford, Michgan and Auburn. A total of seven Big Ten Conference teams were recognized in the final poll.
