Swimming and Diving earns 31 All-American honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State swimming and diving team earning 31 College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) All-American team selections, the association announced Wednesday. A total of 18 Buckeye women swimmers and divers were named All-American which is the second most total for any team in the country. On the men’s side, 13 were given All-American honors which ranks sixth in the country. Due to the cancellation of this year’s NCAA competitions, the CSCAA altered the criteria to include:

“All relays achieving ‘A’ standards, individuals selected to the NCAA Championships, and divers entered in uncontested events from the Zone C Diving Qualification meet are named All-American.”

Ohio State Buckeyes

Before the season was cut short, 14 women’s swimmers were set to compete at the NCAA Championships in Georgia while four divers were gearing up for the Zone C Championships in Kentucky. Due to the new criteria, all 18 athletes were named All-American for their outstanding efforts throughout the season to qualify for national competition. The women’s swimmers and divers include:

  • Mackenzie Crawford (1-Meter Diving, 3-Meter Diving, Platform Diving)
  • Kathrin Demler (500 Free, 200 Fly, 400 IM, 800 Free Relay)
  • Amy Fulmer (100 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay)
  • Hanna Gresser (100 Breast, 200 Breast)
  • Lucija Jurkovic-Perisa (200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 800 Free Relay)
  • Molly Kowal (500 Free, 1650 Free, 400 IM)
  • Josie Panitz (100 Breast)
  • Taylor Petrak (50 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay)

For the Ohio State men, eight swimmers were preparing for NCAA Championships in Indianapolis while five Buckeye divers were set to compete and the Zone C Championships. The CSCAA men’s swimming and diving All-Americans include:
