Jenna Swartzentruber a Big Ten Medal of Honor Finalist

Women’s gymnast Jenna Swartzentruber has been named a finalist for the Big Ten Medal of Honor. The award is given each year to the top female and male senior student-athlete on each Big Ten campus.

Swartzentruber, from Centerburg, Ohio, is a two-time Second Team All-Big Ten selection (2019, 2021) and was named to the Big Ten All-Championship Team in both 2019 and 2021. She was a nominee for the AAI Award, presented to the nation’s most outstanding senior, this year. She appeared in every meet over the last four years and competed on every apparatus, recording career highs of 9.900 or better on three events. She won four balance beam titles and 13 uneven bar titles during her career with the Scarlet and Gray.

An exercise science major, Swartzentruber earned her undergraduate degree this spring. She plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy. She has earned WCGA Scholastic All-American, Academic All-Big Ten and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete accolades.
