COLUMBUS, Ohio–Freshman Jared Sullinger recorded back-to-back double-doubles in conference wins at Iowa and at home vs. Minnesota last week to earn the Big Ten’s Co-Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week honors this week. He has three player of the week awards and eight freshman of the week honors. 

In Iowa City, Sullinger scored 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. He knocked down 11 of 20 shots from the floor and recorded two steals.

Against Minnesota Sunday, the 6-9 Columbus native scored 15 points and corralled 12 boards in Ohio State’s 67-64 victory over the Golden Gophers. Sullinger has eight double-doubles on the season for the 16-0 Buckeyes. He averaged 37 minutes in the wins last week.

Ohio State travels to Michigan Wednesday.
