Tracy Hedrick has been a member of the Department of Athletics since September of 2019. As Chief Marketing Officer, storyteller, and visionary brand leader, she delivers innovative marketing programs that drive results at the highest levels of the entertainment industry and college athletics. Hedrick develops brand experiences to win dedicated lifelong fans, building high-impact teams focused on collaboration and growth, and creating inclusive campaigns that truly reflect the communities and fans that drive great brands forward.

Leading the marketing team to create a world-class fan experience during live events and across digital and social channels, communication, project management of department, local and national programming and leveraging immersive multimedia content. She is the department liaison for the university TradeMark and Licensing team, active on numerous university committees, and is the Big Ten Network broadcasting contact. She serves on the executive committee to play a central role in advancing athletics and the business. She is a collaborator and connector among senior leadership and encourages departments to work together toward common goals.

She is the media buyer for Ohio State Athletics and Columbus Arena Sports and Entertainment (CASE) affiliate of The Ohio State University. Hedrick creates advertising plans and promotions to generate revenue for athletics and special events at Nationwide Arena (home of the NHL Columbus Blue Jackets), Schottenstein Center, and the iconic Ohio Stadium.

Hedrick is an international marketing industry leader with over 20 years of experience in artist management and promoting live events from concerts to family shows in arenas, amphitheaters and stadiums. She started her career at Polaris (Germain) Amphitheater in 1998 and was a regional marketing director for Live Nation until she left for the Dominican Republic in 2010. Hedrick served on the executive committee to open Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana, the first all-inclusive resort in Latin America. As a Hard Rock brand ambassador, she mentored staff, as well as overseeing entertainment, music and marketed the 121-acre property to guests. In her role as a concert-touring executive, Hedrick oversaw world-renowned artist Yanni’s marketing strategies, including the 25th Anniversary, Live at the Acropolis Concert Tour.

Hedrick, who was born in Columbus, specializes in brand strategies, advertising, multicultural marketing, and guest engagement and project management. She graduated in 1998 from Otterbein College while majoring in speech communication and broadcasting.
