Sarah Wick, RD, CSSD, LD has been working at The Ohio State University since 2004. Wick has the responsibilities of performance and lifestyle nutrition as it relates to individual consults, team presentations, body composition and analysis, supplement specialist, injury recovery, Healthy Eating Index reports for each sport team attached to weekly educations, cooking classes, grocery store tours, dining hall tours, travel nutrition management and dealing with specialized diet plans (vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free, allergies) and eating disorders. Wick is a vital part of the student-athletes performance team and they meet weekly, biweekly or monthly for each sport team.
Wick has over 30 years of experience working as a clinical dietician in the sports nutrition and fitness industry. Currently Board Certified in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Dietetics from The Ohio State University and was later certified as an Exercise Specialist by the American College of Sports Medicine. Sarah is also a member of the American Dietetic Association and its Sports and Cardiovascular Nutrition Practice group with a certification from the American Dietetic Association as a Weight Management Trainer. She is a Veteran Professional member of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietetic Association. Sarah’s passion and focus is performance nutrition, weight management and eating disorders.
Prior to working at Ohio State, Wick worked at Parkersburg Hospital, Riverside Methodist Hospital, MAX Sports Medicine and in private practice specializing in working with military personnel and professional athletes in the NFL, NHL and PGA.
Wick hails from Worthington, Ohio, and is a graduate of Worthington High School (currently Thomas Worthington).
