Sammi Gwin joined The Ohio State Performance Nutrition staff in June 2022. Sammi covers the nutrition needs for Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Softball, Pistol, Rifle, Tennis, Track, and Cross Country.
Before joining the Buckeyes, Gwin had previous stops at University of Oregon, Colorado State University, University of Michigan, and Duke University. While at Oregon, Sammi fueled the 2022 men’s and women’s track and field teams to an Outdoor Pac-12 Championship as well as assisting football to appearances in the 2021 Pac-12 Championship game and Alamo Bowl. Prior to Oregon, she spent two years at Colorado State working with 8 teams including the 2019 Mountain West Women’s Volleyball Champions.
Gwin completed her bachelor’s degree at Indiana University as a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams from 2010-2015. She then went on to complete her master’s degree and dietetic internship at Florida State University from 2015-2017.
Gwin is originally from Toledo, Ohio and currently resides in Columbus with her dog, Gnarly.
