Sam Buscher

Staff Athletic Trainer

Sam Buscher joined The Ohio State University athletic training staff in August of 2021 and serves as the athletic trainer for the wrestling team.

Prior to moving to Columbus, he served as the head football athletic trainer at Bridgewater College for four years. He also provided primary coverage for the softball and golf teams.

Buscher received his Bachelor’s degree in athletic training from James Madison University in 2015. During his time in Harrisonburg, he worked with the football, baseball, and TF/XC teams. He also spent a semester with the teams at Eastern Mennonite University.

Upon graduating from JMU, he attended West Virginia University to pursue a Master’s of Science degree in athletic training. He served as the athletic trainer for Clay-Battelle high school for two years while working towards his degree. He also spent a semester working with vestibular rehab specialist, Trevor Jones, DPT. Buscher graduated from WVU in 2017 and moved back to The Friendly City to start his career at Bridgewater.

He is a member of NATA, VATA, and is CES certified through NASM. He holds certifications in Graston Technique and dry needling as well.

He currently resides in Powell, Ohio with his wife, Ali, and two dogs.
