Nicolas Graves joined the Ohio State track and field program as the Director of Operations in August of 2016. Graves, who has been deeply rooted in the college athletics, has previously completed a wide array of tasks for the Buckeyes program.
Most recently (January 2016-July 2016), Graves served in the academic offices for student athletes at Ohio State where he planned and orchestrated tutoring times for student athletes, organized strategies to help students excel in the classroom and provided one-on-one tutoring with assigned student athletes.
During his time in Columbus as a student, Graves served in capacities with both the track and field program and football. For football, he set up and broke down equipment used for home games and helped provide equipment needed for all practices. Graves helped setup equipment for track and field practices as well as taking times of student athletes and maintaining all gear.
He also served as the high jump coach at Ohio State’s summer camps from 2012-14, where he demonstrated and instructed campers on proper forms and techniques.
Graves aided the Columbus State Community College women’s basketball team for six months in from October 2012 to March of 2013 as a team manager. He headed up day-to-day maintenance of equipment, locker room and meeting room and provided all players with any equipment needed.
Graves earned his bachelor’s degree in sport industry/communications in 2015. Graves is currently pursuing his master’s degree in sport management at Ohio State.
