Maura Murphy joined The Ohio State University Department of Athletics in June 2010 as Director of Development. She is responsible for major gifts for all athletic priorities, including endowments and capital projects.
Murphy previously served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development at the University of Central Florida. At UCF she oversaw the daily operations of the Golden Knights Club, managed the premium seat programs and assisted with major gift fundraising efforts. Murphy joined the UCF Athletics staff after two and a half years at Ohio University. She served as the Bobcats[apos] Director of Development for her first two years in Athens before being promoted to Assistant A.D. for Development. In her role, she was responsible for all aspects of Ohio[apos]s annual giving program and athletics department special events.
Prior to her time in Athens, Murphy worked in the events department for the Orange Bowl Committee for the 2006 FedEx Orange Bowl and 2005 FedEx Orange Bowl National Championship where she coordinated Orange Bowl Festival ancillary events and served as the primary liaison to the team host committees.
After graduating cum laude from Saint Mary[apos]s College in Notre Dame, IN with a bachelor[apos]s degree in education, Murphy received her master[apos]s degree in Sports Administration from Ohio University. She is a native of Greensburg, PA.
