Lyndsey Eckenrode


Lyndsey Eckenrode is a second-year graduate student enrolled in the combined Master of Medical Dietetics/Dietetic Internship program. Eckenrode completed her undergraduate degree in Dietetics/Nutrition at the University of Mississippi. She served as the Performance Nutrition Manager for the Ole Miss Baseball team during the 2019-2020 season and assisted fueling the Football team throughout her time in Oxford. Eckenrode worked as the Performance Nutrition Intern at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada during the summer of 2019.

Responsibilities included fuel station management, athlete education, exercise testing, body composition measurement, individualized nutrition programming for fight week, post weigh-in rehydration planning, and content development. In addition to working with rostered UFC athletes, Eckenrode also worked with visiting athletes including those from the NBA, WNBA, NFL, various Olympic teams, and the Special Forces. Here at Ohio State, she has worked with the Football, Men’s Volleyball, and Women’s Gymnastics teams. She is currently managing performance nutrition for the Buckeye Women’s Basketball team and assisting with the Men’s Basketball and Ice Hockey teams. A fun fact about Eckenrode is that she likes to play pickleball in her free time. She is originally from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
