Jessica Jones

Assistant Director, Camps & Event Management

Jessica Jones became a full time Assistant Director for Event Management at Ohio State in June 2019. Jones works closely with men’s soccer, men’s ice hockey, track and field, fencing, tennis, women’s lacrosse, and football game days.

Jones directs and coordinates all game day and event management needs (including ushers, equipment, security, parking, officials, press, requirement, visiting team needs, etc.). She acts as liaison with athletics and university departments to plan and coordinate all areas involved for assigned sports. As well as attending the events and providing on-site management, she also coordinates facility and logistical needs for B1G, NCAA, and other conference tournaments and championships. Additionally, Jones participates on committees for host bid preparation, presentations, and planning.

Prior to her position she holds currently, Jones has worked in a variety of other places. Most recently she worked for the NCAA as a postgraduate intern in the Championships & Alliances department as well as the Event Coordinator in the Event Management department at Ohio State.

Jones attended undergrad at Elon University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Event Management. There she was an Athletics Communications student worker and had internships with the Winston-Salem Open and Illinois Junior Golf association throughout undergrad. Jones then went on to receive a Master of Science in Kinesiology at The Ohio State University.
