Brad Watson

Director, Athletic Training

Brad Watson joined the Ohio State University athletic training staff in November 2019 and serves as an Athletic Trainer for the Men’s Basketball and Women’s Golf teams.

Watson returns to his alma mater where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Ohio State in 2011. After graduation, he attended Eastern Michigan University and earned a Master’s in Sports Management in April of 2013. While at Eastern Michigan, Watson worked with the Wrestling and Baseball as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer.

After finishing graduate school, Watson worked as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Eastern Michigan University starting in 2013 with Men’s Basketball and Men’s Golf while supervising Women’s Volleyball, Women’s Rowing and Baseball. He was then promoted to Assistant Director for Sports Medicine/Associate Head Athletic Trainer in September 2018.

Watson is a certified and Ohio licensed athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the College Athletic Trainers’ Society. He currently holds certifications in Level 1 Instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization and Level 1 dry needling. He resides in Columbus, Ohio.
