2021-22 (Senior)
- Had a record of 21-8 overall in singles, including a combined 6-0 mark at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions in the lineup
- Was 17-11 in doubles and spent all season ranked in the top 20, including eight weeks at No. 2
- Had a strong fall season, going 14-4 in doubles and reaching the finals of the ITA All-American Championship and the ITA Midwest Regional Championship
- Won the ITA Midwest Singles Championship, beating teammate JJ Tracy in the finals
- Was ranked all spring in singles, topping out at No. 26 for two weeks
- Played in the No. 3-6 spots in the singles lineup and had a 14-4 record in team dual matches
- Notched a pair of ranked wins in the spring and finished the year with five total
- Competed in the NCAA Doubles Championship with Justin Boulais and won an opening round match over the No. 21 ranked team of Emile Hudd and Shunsuke Mitsui of Tennessee
2020-21 (Junior)
- Had a great singles season, going 15-1 at the No. 3 spot
- Was also ranked as high as No. 37 in doubles and finished with an 8-4 record
- Dropped his singles match vs. Virginia in the ITA Kickoff on Jan. 23, and never lost a match the rest of the season
- That run included a stretch of 11 consecutive match victories
- Beat No. 97 Taha Baadi of Wake Forest to help lead the Buckeyes to an NCAA Tournament second round victory
- Had a big 6-4 win at the No. 1 doubles spot vs. VCU in the NCAA Tournament opening round
2019-20 (Sophomore)
- Stepped up his game in his second season, tying for the team lead in singles wins with 19 and was third with 17 doubles victories
- Earned the nickname “Big Game James” for his clinching victories over No. 1 Southern Cal and No. 4 Wake Forest
- Was ranked No. 40 in the final fall rankings and spent the whole spring ranked
- Ascended into the doubles rankings at the start of the March at No. 65 with partner Justin Boulais
- Advanced to the final round of qualifying at the season-opening All-American Championship in both singles and doubles
- Made a run to the semifinals of the doubles draw at the ITA Midwest Regional with partner Justin Boulais
- Was the best player at the Big Ten Singles and Doubles Championship, sweeping the singles and doubles crowns. Won the doubles title with partner Andrew Lutschaunig
- Won his first 10 singles decisions in the spring and was 11-3 overall in dual singles matches
- Had the match clinching win No. 65 Stefan Dostanic (6-4, 6-7(4), 6-2) in the Buckeyes 4-2 defeat of No. 1 Southern Cal
- Followed that by providing the clinching point in the Buckeyes 4-3 win over No. 4 Wake Forest at the ITA Indoor Team National Championships. At 5-5 in the third, he held from 0-30 and then broke for the match-sealing victory
2018-19 (Freshman)
- Finished the year with a 10-3 record in both singles and doubles
- Mad a run to the semifinals of the singles draw at the Midwest Regional and because of that, finished the fall nationally ranked
- Spent five weeks in the singles rankings with a season-high of 103
- Won the Big Ten Doubles Championship in the fall with Alex Kobelt
- Also joined Kobelt for a win over the No. 46 ranked team of Phillip Henning and Walker Duncan of Georgia in the spring
- Spent the final six weeks of the season ranked in the doubles rankings with a high ranking of No. 45
- Went 3-1 in Big Ten singles matches
Prior to Ohio State
- Qualified for the main draw in both singles and doubles at the 2017 Junior Championships at Wimbledon
- Reached the quarterfinals at the 2017 Osaka Mayor’s Cup – World Super Junior Tennis Championships
- Won a doubles title at the HCL Asian Junior Tennis Championships in 2017
- Was ranked as high as No. 86 in the ITF Junior rankings
- Led Sundai Kofu to an Inter-High School championship
- Was a semifinalist in the Boys U16 singles championship
