- Wore No. 3 at Lake Superior State so added another 3 to be No. 33 at Ohio State with No. 3 already taken
- Has worked in pool maintenance and bartending as well as in lighting and some landscape work

- Started playing hockey at 4 years old, with his father getting him into the game
- Favorite player is Roman Josi because “he is fun to watch every night and is one of the best defensemen in the league”
