  • As a member of the Varna team, won first place as a team and individually won high bar and was the runner-up on vault
  • Attended Huntington High School, where he lettered all four years as the soccer goalkeeper

  • His grandfather, Bozhidar Russev, is a former Olympic gymnast and now coach in the United States and also his home country, Bulgaria
  • Bozhidar Russev even coached Caden’s mother, Hrabrina Spencer, to the 1988 Olympics in South Korea as a member of the Bulgarian team
  • His uncle, Drew Spencer, was a member of the Ohio State gymnastics team from 1990-96
  • Plans to pursue gymnastics to the highest level, such as world championships and at the Olympics, as well as at his family’s gym in Huntington
