• Is a 2021 preseason All-America on virtually every media poll after earning first-team All-America honors in 2020 by CBS Sports
• On the 2021 preseason watch lists for the Outland Trophy, the Chuck Bednarik Award and the Bronko Nagurski Trophy
• Garrett, a sociology major, is a “super senior” in eligibility as he is using the 2020 Covid year to gain a fifth year on the field in 2021
