LOOK THROUGH THE Woody Hayes Athletic Center AND THE ATHLETICS DISTRICT

When the Woody Hayes Athletic Center was dedicated in 1987, it was one of the most extensive indoor facilities of its kind. Now, nearly 20 years later, a $19.5 million facelift is complete. The recent enhancements to the building solidify the Buckeyes’ football practice facility as one of the nation’s best.

An entry lobby at the northeast corner of the building has been added that highlights Ohio State’s football tradition. Recruits will pass through the lobby en route to a new second-story players’ lounge – “Sloopy’s Hangout” – which overlooks the strength training area. The centerpiece of the lobby is a lighted “championship wall” celebrating Ohio State’s national championship teams.
