- Pitched two scoreless innings in the 12-7 victory over Army on March 6, earning the win.
- In the final game of 2022, Pfennig tossed a scoreless inning as part of the Buckeye’s 13-10 win over USC Upstate.
2021 (Junior)
- Made 10 appearances on the season that included 5 starts
- Had a 6.82 ERA in 33 innings pitched with 26 strikeouts
- Pitched 6.2 innings in his start against Nebraska on March 14, giving up 3 earned runs and striking out 7 batters in the 6-4 Ohio State win
- Came out of the bullpen for 3.1 innings of work against Indiana on April 4, allowing 1 hit and no earned runs as the Buckeyes held on to win 4-3
- Held Penn State hitless and scoreless in 2 innings of relief in the 7-0 win on April 24
- Picked up his sole win of the year in the first game of the final series of the season against Northwestern on May 28, striking out 5 and giving up 2 earned runs across 3.2 innings out of the bullpen
2020 (Sophomore)
- 0-2 with a 91 ERA and 12 strikeouts in 7.1 innings pitched over four appearances
- Struck out five and allowed one earned run in two innings at Georgia Tech (2/21)
- Made the start at North Florida, striking out four over 2.2 innings without allowing an earned run (3/11)
2019 (Freshman)
- 2-4 with with a 4.78 ERA in 24 appearances with three starts as a true freshman
- 53 strikeouts and 29 walks in 58.1 innings with two saves
- Made collegiate debut vs. Seton Hall, allowing one unearned run on two hits in two innings of relief work (Feb. 17)
- Combined to throw 6.2 scoreless innings of relief with four strikeouts and one walk in two appearances in Texas (2/22-25)
- Claimed first career save vs. Hawai’i, throwing one inning on one run, one hit, one walk and one strikeout (3/22)

Prior to Ohio State
- First team All-GMC, GMC Pitcher of the Year, first team All-City selection at Mason High School for head coach Curt Bly
- 2018 Player of the Year by Cincinnati Enquirer
- Second Team All-State selection as a senior helping the team to its first trip to the state baseball tournament since 1987 with a 26-6 record
- Finished senior campaign with a 9-1 record on the mound
- Holds the school record for most strikeouts in a single-season
- 2018 team captain and pitcher of the year
- Second team All-GMC as a junior, going 6-2 with 47 strikeouts in 36.2 innings pitched
- Green and White award in 2016 and rookie of the year in 2015 after posting a 0.36 ERA
