Personal

  • Daughter of Alan and Beth, who played field hockey at Central Michigan
  • Has a younger brother, Sammy

  • Plays guitar and ukulele and enjoys hiking and exploring new areas, hammocking, traveling, listening to music, spending quality time with friends and family, going to Target, reading and doing arts and crafts
  • Got into fencing after her younger brother saw it on the Olympics when he was 4 and knew he wanted to fence, so he started at Mission Fencing Center when he was 6; after a couple of years, when he was 8 and she was 10, she decided to try fencing because she was bored always sitting there just watching and fell in love with the intellectual and physical combination of the sport
  • She and her brother have been live-in training partners, which has been very beneficial, especially during the pandemic
  • Grew up speaking both Spanish and English in the house
  • Loved summer camp and youth group and was president of a national youth group region
