Ohio State Football 2025 Student Ticket Information

STUDENT FOOTBALL TICKET REQUEST PROCESS

TICKET REQUEST PERIOD
An e-mail will be sent mid-May to any student who is enrolled at Ohio State for Spring or Summer Semester and to any incoming student who has paid the university acceptance fee by early May. The e-mail will include basic information regarding the upcoming student ticket request process for the 2025 Ohio State Football Season. This email will be sent to your name.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu email address, or to the email address on record in the OSU Ticket Office. (The Athletics Ticket Office cannot guarantee the delivery of this email for students who do not use and/or check their OSU email address frequently or who forward their email to a web-based email provider.)
Important information regarding the student ticket request process can be found below.
The Athletic Council and Department of Athletics believe it is important that discounted tickets be used by the original purchaser or by someone within the same category, and, in principle, access to athletic event tickets at a discounted price is a privilege extended to members of the university community. This privilege does not entitle anyone to abuse the ticket policy by scalping or misusing tickets they purchase.
Please note: You may lose your ticket privileges if (a) you have engaged in conduct that is determined, by either OSU or the NCAA, to be in violation of any NCAA rule or if, in OSU’s reasonable discretion, you have otherwise taken any action that jeopardizes the eligibility of OSU’s programs or its student-athletes; or (b) you have transferred your ticket(s) in such a way that has proven to be detrimental to the ticket recipient(s) and/or Ohio State.

Ticket Package Request Windows
The football student ticket request process will be broken into eight (8) different windows, which are determined by your academic rank at The Ohio State University as well as your football season ticket purchase history.
Please Note:
- The ticket request window assigned to you does NOT impact your priority in the overall football student ticket request process
- All students will have from when their respective ticket request window opens until Friday, June 6 at 4 p.m. ET to request tickets
- Requesting a specific student ticket package does NOT guarantee that you will receive that ticket package. The Ohio State Ticket Office reserves the right to fulfill your request into a different student ticket package if demand for your requested package exceeds available inventory.
To see the ticket request window that has been assigned to you, we encourage you to log into your Ohio State Buckeyes student ticket account by following the steps outlined below.
Ticket Package Request Process
- Ticket Package Request Period: When the request window opens, each student will enter a request for the ticket package they would like to receive and enter a credit card for payment. The credit card will not be charged at the time of request. Students no longer need to log on immediately after their ticket window opens as ticket packages will be assigned later in the process and NOT in a first-come, first-served manner.
- Ticket Package Distribution: Once all ticket package requests are received, the inventory for each package (Block O, reserved full season, reserved full season grad/prof, reserved B1G, reserved B1G grad/prof) will be distributed across ranks, based upon the quantity of requests for each package and the ranks that comprise those requests.
- For example, if Rank 4s comprise 23% of all requests for Block O tickets, then that percentage of Block O inventory will be allocated to Rank 4 students.
Important Note – requesting a ticket package does not guarantee that you will receive that ticket package. The Ohio State Ticket Office reserves the right to fulfill your request into a different student ticket package if demand for your requested package exceeds available inventory.
- For example, if Rank 4s comprise 23% of all requests for Block O tickets, then that percentage of Block O inventory will be allocated to Rank 4 students.
- Please see below for more details on priority and bonus points.
- Ticket Package Assignments/Sit with Friends: Once ticket packages are assigned, students’ credit cards will be charged for the ticket package(s) they have been assigned and students will be notified of their assignment via email. Those receiving reserved season ticket packages will then be able to complete the Sit-With-a-Friend process to identify the person/group they’d like to sit with.
Eligibility
- Important Note – receiving an email with ticket request instructions does NOT mean that you are eligible to request your season tickets. Eligibility to access your season ticket package is based upon your Autumn 2025 enrollment status. Please see the information below for more details.
- Students must be enrolled as a full-time student at Ohio State (enrollment at other universities does not count towards full time status) for the autumn semester with all fees and tuition paid (or first payment made, if enrolled in TOPP program) to be eligible to access their mobile student season tickets. If your program is not listed below (i.e., GAA, GRA, GTA), full time status varies depending on the program/appointment with the University. Please see your program coordinator/academic advisor for more information regarding your specific program.
- The definition of a full-time student is:
- Undergraduate: 12 hours or more
- Master, Doctoral Candidate and Graduate Professional: 8 hours or more
- Post Doctoral (Post Candidacy): 3 hours
- Students who are graduating at the end of the autumn semester and do not meet the full-time student status requirement may still receive a season ticket by having their respective college advisor fill out an online form stipulating that the reason this student is not full time is that they will be graduating at the end of the autumn semester.
- Many programs at Ohio State include an internship as part of their curriculum. If you are doing an internship during the autumn semester you still have to be registered as a full-time student to be eligible for student football tickets. If you have any questions regarding your specific internship, please contact your college advisor.
- Students who are eligible to request but are deemed ineligible to receive student tickets in fall based upon the guidelines listed above will have their access to mobile tickets denied and will receive a refund for their ticket price.
Student Ranks
- Ranks used for designating request windows, for distributing ticket packages, and for reserved seat assignments are determined by the number of credit hours earned through Ohio State for undergraduate and graduate students, or terms completed for professional students.
- Undergraduate/Graduate Students:
- Rank 1: 0-30 credit hours of coursework earned through OSU as of the end of Spring Semester 2025
- Rank 2: 31-60 credit hours of coursework earned through OSU as of the end of Spring Semester 2025
- Rank 3: 61-90 credit hours of coursework earned through OSU as of the end of Spring Semester 2025
- Rank 4: 91 credit hours or more of coursework earned through OSU as of the end of Spring Semester 2025
- Professional Students:
- Professional student class rankings are determined by each individual college and are reflected as what was reported to the university as of the end of the Spring Semester 2025. If you have questions, please contact your college.
- Additionally, graduate and professional students will maintain the highest rank attained as an undergraduate student if that undergraduate work was completed at The Ohio State University, and that rank is higher than their current rank in their graduate or professional program. If you have questions regarding your class rank, please contact your academic advisor.
Bonus Points
- Students will receive an additional entry into their rank’s package assignment process for each consecutive year they purchased either a Full Season or Big Ten package beginning with the 2021 season, thus increasing their chances of receiving their requested package.
- Distribution of ticket packages will still be divided based upon demand by class rank. But within each class rank, a student’s bonus points will give them an increased chance of being assigned their requested ticket package.
- Bonus points do not apply toward seating assignments.
- Bonus points will accumulate for each consecutive year a student purchases a student football ticket package, and will carry over into any full priced season ticket package they may intend to purchase after graduation.
