Buckeyes’ host Ohio University tonight in final home games at current Buckeye Field

COLUMBUS, Ohio – It is not just the last home doubleheader of the 2008 season. It is the last doubleheader of an era.

Fans can listen live tonight to both games at as the Buckeyes take on the Ohio University Bobcats. The first game begins at 5 p.m. and the broadcast crew of Josh Ellis and Gabe Norris will stay on the air live between games with a special Ohio State softball trivia program.

Built in 1988, Buckeye Field has seen a few changes over the years, but has stayed primarily the same since the team moved their from its former field at the intersection of Coffey Road and Woody Hayes Drive. In June, the dugouts, bleachers and press box will be torn down as a $5.9 million renovation project begins, which will be ready in time for the 2009 season.
