COLUMBUS, Ohio Ohio State women’s soccer coach Lori Walker announced today the addition of Taylor Moront, a forward from Toledo, Ohio and St. Ursula Academy, to the Buckeyes’ team. Moront will be a freshman member with the Buckeyes this fall, joining the 12 additional 2008 recruits on the team.

Taylor was a four-year starter and letterwinner for Toledo’s St. Ursula Academy … she was also a member of the Pacesetter Soccer Club U-8 through U-14 and she has played with the Cleveland Internationals club team since 2004 … her club teams have played for the Ohio North State Cup championship in each of the past eight years with titles won in 2000-01-06-07 … the 2006 Internationals team was regional champion and a national semi-finalist … Taylor made the ODP North state  team four times, the regional team once and was a national pool player in 2004 … a second-team all-Ohio selection in 2007, Taylor played for St. Ursula teams that won four consecutive Toledo City League and district championships (2004-07) … St. Ursula was a state semi-finalist in 2004 and reached the regional semifinals on two other occasions … Taylor was her team’s leading goal scorer in 2004 and 2005 and was the Prep Zone Sports Player of the Year in 2007 … she is a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House and Campus Ministry.
