Six Buckeyes Earn Academic All-Big Ten Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Six members of the 2018-19 Ohio State women’s golf team have earned Academic All-Big Ten recognition, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Senior Niki Schroeder, a co-medalist at the 2019 Big Ten Championships, earns her third Academic All-Big Ten selection as an international studies major while junior Adeena Shears, a human development and family science major, picks up her second honor. Senior Lexie Long and sophomores Alanis Sakuma, Yukie Sasaki and Sofia Seldemirova each were recognized for the first time.

Sr. Niki Schroeder (3rd selection – international studies)
Jr. Adeena Shears (2nd selection – human development and family science)
So. Alanis Sakuma (1st selection – aviation management)
So. Yukie Sasaki (1st selection – hospitality management)
So. Sofia Seldemirova (1st selection – marketing)

The 2018-19 Buckeyes advanced to their 25th-consecutive NCAA Regional while winning the 18th Big Ten championship in program history.
