COLUMBUS, Ohio – Seven members of the women’s basketball team have been named OSU Scholar-Athletes this season. To receive the distinction, student-athletes must carry a 3.0 or better grade-point average for the academic year.

Savitha Jayaraman, who joined the team as a walk-on three years ago, earned the distinction for the third time. She graduated this spring with a degree in operations management. Dorka Juhasz was named a scholar-athlete for a second time while the remaining five all earn the award for the first time.

This comes after the Big Ten’s announcement of their Academic All-Big Ten team earlier this week [CLICK HERE] in which Jayaraman, Juhasz and Aaliyah Patty all were honored.
