Seumanutafa Tied for 40th after Opening Round of NCAA Championships

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Aneka Seumanutafa, a freshman on the Ohio State women’s golf team, sits in a tie for 40th after a 5-over par 78 in the opening round of NCAA Championships Friday at Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark. Seumanutafa tees off in the second round at 9:10 a.m. ET Saturday.

The Emmitsburg, Md., native teed off on the 10th hole and bounced back from bogeys on 12, 14 and 15 with a birdie on 18 to card a 2-over 38 on her first nine. Seumanutafa then notched a triple-bogey on one and a bogey on three before recording a birdie on the par-3 eighth hole to finish with a 3-over 40 on the second nine of the par-73 track. Seumanutafa is tied for 12th in par-3 scoring at even-par.
