GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Ohio State women’s golf team finished ninth at the Lady Gator Invitational Sunday at Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.
After winning carding a career-best 64 in the second round Saturday, freshman Aneka Seumanutafa posted a 2-over 72 to finish in eighth place for the tournament at 1-over par. Fellow freshman Lauren Peter notched a 5-over 75 in the final round to tie for 41st while junior Adeena Shears posted a 4-over 74 to tie for 50th.
Playing as an individual, freshman Skylar Thompson carded a 5-over 75 to tie for 53rd while senior Niki Schroeder tallied the Buckeyes’ best round of the day, a 1-over 71 to place 57th. Sophomore Yukie Sasaki rounded out the Buckeye lineup in a tie for 65th after a final-round 80.
As a team, Ohio State was the fifth-best in the field in par-3 scoring at 3-over. Seumanutafa tied for eighth in par-3 scoring at 2-under and par-4 scoring at 1-over.
