A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Letecia Wright will go down as one of the most decorated sprinters and hurdlers in Ohio State history. Most recently in 2011, she played a key role in helping the women’s track and field team to its first Big Ten indoor championship in February before helping the Buckeyes to their first outdoor title in May. Letecia was a 2011 All-American in the indoor 60-meter hurdles and a two-time Big Ten champion in the 4×100-meter relay, in which she also holds the school record. She is a six-time all-Big Ten performer, a four-time Big Ten Athlete of the Week and a two-time winner of the 100m hurdles at the prestigious Drake Relays, in which she recently broke a 10-year-old record at the historic event. An OSU scholar-athlete, Letecia is finishing up her journalism degree and plans to pursue a degree in sports broadcasting.
