Senior Spotlight – Gordi Myer

Gordi Myer, a defenseman from Sylvania, Ohio, is a senior on the Ohio State men’s hockey team.

An alternate captain for the No. 6-ranked Buckeyes this year, Myer has skated in all 16 games and has two goals, four assists and six points. He is first on team with 34 blocked shots, ranking 10th in NCAA and his 2.12 shot blocks per game is also 10th nationally (through Dec. 11). The Buckeyes are first in the Big Ten and seventh in the NCAA in team defense, allowing 1.88 goals a game.

He played in his 100th career game Oct. 19 and has 37 points, with five goals and 32 assists, in the Scarlet and Gray.

A business economics major, Myer is a three-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten choice.
