COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior forward Paige Semenza has been named WCHA Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.

Semenza, a product of Pittston, Pa., recorded her first career hat trick in the 5-3 win over then No. 6 North Dakota, Oct. 12. She scored a goal in all three periods to help lead the Buckeyes to their third-straight win over a ranked opponent and the first ever 5-0-0 start in program history.

Semenza leads Ohio State in points with 11; in goals scored with seven; and is an impressive +7 while on the ice through six games.

This is the second WCHA honor for the Buckeyes in as many weeks. Redshirt-junior goaltender Chelsea Knapp was named Defensive Player of the Week, Oct. 10.

No. 6/7 Ohio State travels to Minneapolis, Minn., to take on No. 1 Minnesota at Ridder Arena, Oct. 19-20. Game times are set for 8:07 p.m. ET on Friday and 2:07 p.m. ET Saturday.
