COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s tennis team played in Knoxville, Tenn., for the UT Fall Invite, marking the squad’s seventh appearance in the tournament. Four teams – Ohio State, Tennessee, Wake Forest and IUPUI – competed in the three-day tournament. The Ohio State Buckeyes swept IUPUI in singles and doubles, accomplished at 2-1 victory over the Volunteers in doubles and went 2-4 in singles against Wake Forest.
Day One (Friday)
The Buckeyes took on Wake Forest in singles, with Shiori Fukuda claiming a victory on court one against Wake Forest’s Anna Ulyaschenko, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. Redshirt junior Danielle Wolf fought hard on court two against Anna Brylin, where the match went into a lengthy tiebreaker, 6-3, 1-6, 7-6 (14-12), with the Demon Deacon prevailing.
In doubles, Ohio State swept IUPUI with the tandems of Fukuda and Luna Dormet, Wolf and Emma DeCoste as well as Mary Beth Hurley and Andrea Ballinger all posting victories.

Day Two (Saturday)
The Buckeyes took on the host Volunteers in singles, going 1-5, with Luna Dormet leading the way with her victory over Ariadna Riley, 0-6, 6-4, 6-1.
In doubles, the Buckeyes faced Wake Forest. Emma DeCoste and Danielle Wolf took down the Demon Deacon duo of Mary Meredith and Alexis Franco, 7-6 (7-6).

Day Three (Sunday)
The Buckeyes closed out play with singles matches vs. IUPUI and doubles vs. Tennessee.
In singles, the Buckeyes swept IUPUI in all six matches. Danielle Wolf shut out Gabrielle Ochalik and the Scarlet and Gray accomplished all victories in straight sets.
The Buckeyes won two of three doubles matches vs. the Volunteers. Wolf and DecCoste won 6-4 on court two and Hurley and Andrea Ballinger won 6-3 on court three. On court one, the tandem of Fukuda and Dormet fell to a 6-2 decision.

The Tennessee Fall Invite closed out team play for the Buckeyes this fall. The squad will return to action at the Michigan Invitational Jan. 19-21 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
