COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two members of the Ohio State women’s golf team have received Big Ten Distinguished Scholar recognition, the conference office announced Wednesday. To be eligible for Big Ten Distinguished Scholar honors, student-athletes must carry a grade-point average of 3.7 for the previous academic year.

Junior Yukie Sasaki (1st selection – Hospitality Management)
*Senior Adeena Shears (3rd selection – Human Development and Family Science)
*Carried a 4.0 grade-point average for the 2019-20 academic year
The duo joins six Buckeyes to garner OSU Scholar-Athlete distinction, five named Academic All-Big Ten, four to earn WGCA All-American Scholar status, and Shears, who earned her degree in human development and family science at spring commencement last month.
