COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State head coach Kevin McGuff announced on Monday the hiring of Ohio State graduate Ryan Murray as the program’s video coordinator.
Murray returns to Ohio State after spending last season as the Video Coordinator and Director of Scouting for the women’s basketball program at Wisconsin. He earned his business degree from Ohio State in 2018 where he spent three seasons with the Buckeye women’s program.
“We’re excited to welcome Ryan back to the Ohio State program as our video coordinator,” said McGuff. “He’s got an eye for the game and a great basketball mind. As a student manager with us, he helped in a number of areas including film breakdown. Now in this role, I’m looking forward to the positive impact he will have on our program.”
After playing collegiately at for one season at Centre College in Kentucky, Murray transferred to Ohio State where he spent one season on the women’s practice squad and his final two seasons as a video assistant. He filmed games and practices which aided in analyzing performance and preparing scouting videos. The Springboro, Ohio native also served as the director of Camp Operations for the Buckeyes, organizing the day-to-day schedule of the camps while supervising all camp staff.
