- On why he wears No. 34: “Growing up my idol was Patrick Roy and he wore No. 33. When I met him when I was 12 I wore the No. 30 (my team wouldn’t let us pick our numbers). Patrick Roy asked what number I was and I said 30, he said ‘Why is 33 too much pressure?’. I wear No. 34 to be one better then him.”
